ABOUT ME

My approach is to offer support to caregivers alongside my therapeutic work with their young people, in order to truly understand the difficulties the family is facing and help the young person overcome their challenges. My particular interest is in the value of nature in assisting healing and recovery.

I qualified as a Play Therapist and later as a Creative Counsellor for Children and Young People through Leeds Beckett University. I am registered with Play Therapy UK (PTUK) , I adhere to their ethical standards and have regular clinical supervision. I have a current enhanced DBS and am fully insured to practice as a Play Therapist and Creative Counsellor. You can find me on the Professional Standards Agency accredited register: www.playtherapyregister.org.uk

I worked as a Play Therapist and Counsellor in a number of Kent schools from 2016 and in 2020, I established my private practice. I also work at the children's charity Dandelion Time, offering therapeutic sessions to children and their families who have suffered significant emotional trauma.

I undertake regular specialist training to ensure my continuing professional development. Recent trainings include: 'Developmental Trauma for Professionals', 'Working with Situational Mutism', 'Supporting the mental health of LGBTQ+ Children and Young People','Working with Grief and Loss' and 'Understanding and Helping Demand Avoidant Adolescents'.

I am truly passionate about helping young people overcome their challenges to reach their full potential in life and I look forward to meeting your family.
